Polestar 3 AR app

How do you pre-order a car that is not yet available? For the new Polestar 3 Capitola designed and developed an AR tool in which potential customers are able to project the new Polestar 3 over the existing Polestar 2 into Polestar’s showrooms. This approach enables potential customers to walk around the car, explore the exterior, interior and configure it. A high level experience which was intertwined with the existing user journey at Polestar Spaces throughout the world.

The Polestar 3 AR App

To make this solution available for Polestar, Capitola created an AR application for the newest iPad air. The Augmented Reality technology was used to set the Polestar 3 car in realistic size in the Polestar Space. Users were able to experience every visible detail of the car up close. By walking around the car the true size of the car is experienced. Within the AR app a configurator tool was implemented, giving the potential customers the possibility to experience the car in AR with different colors, rims and other features.
